It's all about you!
With so much fitness focus on health clubs, gyms and high tech equipment, we sometimes lose track of the fact that we can stay very fit without ever hitting the gym or lifting a brand-name weight. We forget that all we need to create a decent full-body workout is our own body and a bit of ingenuity.
The good news is that we can workout just about anywhere. The bad news (for some of us) is that there is one less excuse for not working out.
Few of us, however, know enough bod…

Gut Busting - Part 3 The Specifics
Ok! You are on your way to a fitter body with a fitter lifestyle. If your body is in agreement that should automatically include slimming down a bit, including a trimmer waistline. But how can we encourage the midsection to develop inwardly, to flatten out. If you think that's just a set of ab exercises in a gym you'd be wrong. If that was the case then this would be a quick slam dunk kind of thing, like every other Adonis-in-30-days magazine article and video…

In Gut Busting Part 1 we discussed the reasons why so many guys have a bigger belly than they would like. A large part of that dissatisfaction is due to unrealistic, cultural, body image expectations. We turn a blind eye to the reality that even a fit guy may have a bit of a waistline bulge especially as he gets older. To some extent, it's natural. So start with realistic expectations. We were also reminded that our body almost always ignores attempts to get rid of excess fat at one desired spot…

A bunch of you guys keep asking me "how do I get rid of my gut/pot belly/beer muscule, etc.".
In this multi-part blog series I'll attempt to lay some ground rules about the ever-ellusive (for most of us) flat abdominal wall. Then I'll prepare a firm fitness foundation for reducing that front proch sprawl. Then I'll review various specific things to do and to keep in mind to make it all happen.
So here we go...
Most men yearn for a board-flat stomach topped by a set of rippling abs. A large por…

People who know me know that I don't place much value in New Years resolutions, especially those of the weight loss and fitness variety. Most resolutions we make that involve dramatically changing our lives in an instant are abandoned within a few weeks or even days.
In the fitness world, New Years day is by far the biggest resolution day, but coming in at second place is the first Monday in September (Labor Day in many countries). Just like in January, the gyms fill to overflowing in September…

You never know where you are going to find fitness advice on the internet. It shows up in the most unlikely of places ... like this personal debt management blog. >>>

On the road to fitness nothing motivates us more than to hear that others have overcome the same obstacles we face. Sharing
is caring. But many stories remain untold because our own humility gets in the way. We often don't realize that our own accomplishments, and the way we went about achieving them, are worth telling.
It doesn't have to be a long article (although that's fine too). Just:
Tell us what your idea of fitness fun is, or
Describe how you started to workout and what mo…

I'll make this short. Nike was right! Their classic slogan "Just Do It' is bang on. The escense of fitness is in "just doing it" and it doesn't much matter what activity "it" is or how good you are at doing "it".
I believe that nearly everyone already knows how to get and stay fit. I also believe that most of those people are not aware of that fact. They'll very often claim that they need to know more in order to workout correctly, precisely effectively. So, until they can do it perfectly, they…
