Nice to see another fellow Torontonian here at itsgottabefun on ning. The "removing a middle age gut" is THE big question for a lot of guys. I'm preparing a blog entry about that, so stay tuned. In the meantime I'll encourage other members to make suggestions (Hint - It's not a simple answer - there are many possible solutions and not everyone's body responds to those solutions in the same way.)
