My two cents worth ...
If you want to be fit, it's not going to happen by counting calories, constantly checking weigh scales, running marathons, knocking back a table full of supplements or knowing what a brachioradialis is. People were fit long before any of that was invented. Fitness comes from eating common sense, natural foods and portions, getting enough sleep, and finding physical activities we enjoy, to keep us off the couch and help reach our goals. Anything more is media hype or commercial advertising. Fitness doesn't have to be complex or expensive. Ya, I'm a fitness instructor who's certified in all that mumbo jumbo. But let's start by just doing the basics. Then, make it fancy.
